Privacy information for Scan Login.
Plain privacy information for Scan Login. The app is designed to work locally, without a Scan Login account, cloud sync, advertising profile, or employer system integration.
App privacy
- Local by design
- Scan Login stores entered values on the device, not in a Wacky Works Digital cloud account.
- No account
- Users do not create a Scan Login account to use the app.
- Play Store
- Google may process store and device data under its own policies.
What the app stores
Scan Login turns values you enter into barcode images so a handheld scanner can read them. Those values are stored on the device where you enter them.
- Login values, barcode format choices, display settings, suffix settings, and shift-lock settings stay on your device.
- Barcode widgets, notifications, Quick Settings tiles, and lock-screen views can display barcode images on your device when you enable those features.
- Encrypted QR backup can create a transfer code protected by the passphrase you choose.
What is not collected
Scan Login is not a cloud login service and does not run a Wacky Works Digital account for app users.
- No Scan Login account is created.
- No login values are sent to Wacky Works Digital.
- No employer scanner estate, warehouse system, or workplace login service is connected.
- No advertising profile is created by Scan Login.
Google Play and device data
If you install Scan Login from Google Play Store, Google may process store, payment, device, crash, install, and update information under Google's own policies. Scan Login does not use that to read the values you enter into the app.
- Google Play Store may provide standard developer console diagnostics, such as install counts, crash reports, device models, Android versions, and country-level reporting.
- Device permissions and operating-system controls remain managed by Android and the phone manufacturer.
- If you contact Wacky Works Digital for support, the information you send in that message is used to answer the request.
Security and control
Security still depends on the device, the workplace, and how the app is used.
- Keep the device locked with biometrics, passcode, or another suitable screen lock.
- Use Scan Login lock and logoff options where barcodes should not stay visible.
- Keep QR backups, screenshots, widgets, and notification views away from anyone who should not have access.
- Choose a strong passphrase if you create an encrypted QR backup.
Retention and deletion
The values stay on the device until you change them, delete them, clear the app data, or uninstall the app.
- Deleting the app or clearing its app data removes locally stored Scan Login setup from that device.
- Deleting a widget, notification, shortcut, or QR backup does not automatically change any workplace login value.
- Support messages are kept only as long as needed for support, record keeping, security, and legal reasons.
